You know what missing history costs

Every shift, patients arrive who can't tell you their medications, allergies or history, and gaps in information lead to harm. AHRQ notes:

“Transitions in care are also a well-documented source of preventable harm related to medications.”

Can I wear it at work?

That depends on your facility's policy. The bracelet is waterproof for hand washing. Where wrist wear isn't allowed, keep the wallet card with your badge. It links to the same profile.

Can I recommend Hero Link to my patients?

Yes. Every device includes a free medical profile, and doctors help shape what goes on it. It's a good fit for patients with allergies, heart conditions, diabetes, dementia or seizures.

Can our hospital or practice order in bulk?

Yes. Organizations can order in bulk and manage every device from one Org Portal. See bulk orders.

Is there training for clinical staff?

Yes. Our training shows staff how to find and read a Hero Link. See training.

Do responders need an app?

No. Any NFC-enabled smartphone can tap the bracelet to open the profile, with no app or account. See which phones work.

Will first responders know to look for my Hero Link?

Not always, and we want to be upfront about that. NFC medical IDs are still new to many first responders and hospitals, so we can't promise that every responder will notice or tap your Hero Link. To give yourself the best chance:

  • Keep a Hero Link wallet card behind your driver's license, where people usually look for ID.
  • Tell family, caregivers and coworkers that you wear or carry Hero Link.
  • Set a clear pinned alert, so the most important thing shows first.
  • Share our responder training with your local agencies.
Is the medical information private?

Profiles are HIPAA compliant and encrypted, and you decide what's on them. If a bracelet is lost, you can freeze it anytime from your account.
